Mariah Mayse, MA, LPC
Have you ever found yourself asking, “If God is loving, why does He allow so much evil?” or “How do I hold onto my belief in goodness while living in a world that feels full of darkness and chaos?”
Many of us live in the tension of believing God is good while also experiencing deep pain, loss, and uncertainty. Clients often come to me during seasons of spiritual struggle—what some describe as a crisis of faith or a “dark night of the soul.” These moments can feel isolating, confusing, and overwhelming, especially when faith has been a central part of your life.
As a therapist who also serves on a church staff, I have compassion for the unique challenges faced by ministry leaders. I enjoy working with clients who are deeply committed to serving others, yet find themselves struggling with boundaries, burnout, and caring for their own emotional and spiritual needs.
College and young adulthood can be incredibly meaningful- and incredibly hard. I love working with college students and young adults who are navigating anxiety, intrusive thoughts, identity questions, and the pressure to succeed.
If you’re carrying anxiety, intrusive thoughts that feel hard to say out loud, spiritual questions, or the weight of trying to hold everything together,
you don’t have to do it alone.
